Green Urbanscape Asia 2017

Philippine Green Building Council (PHILGBC) invites its members and fellow green building advocates for Green Urbanscape Asia 2017 on November 9-11, 2017 at the Singapore Expo Convention and Exhibition Centre at Singapore.  Green Urbanscape Asia is held alongside the 4th International Skyrise Greenery Conference (ISGC).

The 4th International Skyrise Greenery Conference (ISGC) is held at Singapore EXPO on 9 & 10 November. Held alongside the conference, the exhibition will be open for visitors from 9 to 11 November.


Expecting to draw over 700 top level conference delegates, the 4th edition of the International Skyrise Greenery Conference will host 26 of the region’s key industry stakeholders to share their experiences on the Theme – Symbiosis: Intense Nature within Cities, featuring world-renowned speakers: 

Plenary Speakers:

  • SPECIAL ADDRESS – Ms. Pénelopé Komitès, Deputy Mayor in charge of Green Spaces, Nature & Biodiversity, The City of Paris
  • Dr. Hossein Rezai-Jorabi, Founder-Director, Web Structures, Singapore

First engineer to have won the President’s Design Award: Designer of the Year title: “His understanding of structural behavior and systems allows him to manipulate structural form and expression to create seamless harmony with the design intent of the architect,” – cited by the jury for the award.

  • Mr. Shoji Kaneko, Senior Urban Designer, Nikken Sekkei, Japan

Accorded the overall Concept Master Plan for their (with Tierra Design) Lines of Life Rail Corridor Proposal: “compelling vision” that captures a community-centred experience through “seamless connectivity” of the Rail Corridor and their “respect [of] and sensitivity to the area’s rich ecology and heritage,” – cited by the chairperson of the RFP evaluation panel.

  • Mr. Jonathan Woodroffe, Co-founding Partner, S333 Architecture + Urbanism, UK

Part of the appointed consultant team to develop the detailed master plan for Jurong Lake District to realise the vision for District of the Future. He will speak about landscape design and its key role in urban placemaking, with Jurong Lake District as a case study.
