The Workshops on Building Systems Commissioning and BERDE Scoring & Weighting, and Management and Innovation opened the second week of the BERDE Workshop and Study Group Series conducted by the Philippine Green Building Council (PHILGBC) in partnership with the Department of Energy (DOE). The two discussions were conducted by the PHILGBC under the Philippine Energy Efficiency Project - Efficient Building Initiative (PEEP) to gather comments, clarify issues, and solicit suggestions for improvement from affiliated professionals, members, and parties involved in the Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence (BERDE) Program. Both workshops held venue at the TÜV Rheinland Philippines Office, La Fuerza Building I, Don Chino Roces Ave., Makati City. The Workshop on Building Systems Commissioning and BERDE Scoring & Weighting was conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, where third-party building commissioning, specific commissioning for each stage of a building's life cycle, the BERDE scoring and weighting system, and uncontrolled variables affecting BERDE scoring were the central discussion points. Representatives from Aeight Pacific Corporation, Rockwell Land Corporation, University of Makati, TÜV Rheinland Philippines, City Planning Development Office of Manila, and Arthaland Corporation composed the delegation of participants.

Qualification of local communities, investor benefits, intangibility and immeasurability of sustainable development commitment points, and incentivization of innovations were key points highlighted during the Workshop on Management and Innovation from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
